Let’s do this…

If you live in a state where you must go to the polls, let’s talk planning.

There have been enough dog whistles to know you may be met with intimidation, threats and bullying.

It’s important you still vote.

However, take this time to prepare.

1. Go together. Franky, if you have a white friend, go with them. Bring a friend, or two, or everyone.

2. Don’t wear clothing or signs, making yourself a target.

3. Go early.

4. Eat, drink water, be physically prepared if you need to wait.

5. Validate your vote registration, in advance. Don’t be surprised.

6. Read up on all candidates. We are in this predicament because not enough attention has been paid to local, city, and state laws and who is representing you and protecting your voting rights.

7. Know what you need to do for your ballot to count. Get a paper validation if available.

8. Spend a much energy on this vote as you have had to spend living the consequences of past vote.

9. Please wear a mask and keep distant. Don’t infect other voters or risk your life needlessly.

The plans to disrupt the vote will only succeed if we are unprepared. Do your part. Be prepared to do your civic duty.
